Before AMWAY™, I worked as a teacher and a storekeeper. I had also invested in some businesses. My wife, Yik Choo, is a draughtswoman.

Because I had joined AMWAY out of obligation to a friend, my heart was not in it. Surprisingly, I still managed to qualify Pearl in September 1993. Despite the progress, I was still not convinced about the business and it eventually stagnated.

The turning point came in May 1995 when AMWAY opened in China. What I saw there somehow moved me. Upon my return from China, I was determined to change and put greater effort into my AMWAY business.

I began to set goals and worked hard to achieve them. It has taken me a little more than two years to qualify as a Diamond. Don’t focus on how long you take, but instead focus on how much effort you are willing to commit to your business.

The fact that the AMWAY business is doing well in over 80 countries and territories proves that anyone can succeed regardless of race, culture or religion. What is needed is the willingness to work hard.

Today, our dreams have come true. We have financial security and own a house and a car. Our lives have changed so much.

It is wonderful to be able to share and work with so many AMWAY Business Owners with whom we share common goals and dreams. Be determined and don’t ever quit.

We want to continue to progress in the world of AMWAY. Our next goal is to qualify Double Diamond. We know we can do it and we know you can do it, too. See you at the top!
