BRUCE JEE & IRENE HO
My family was poor. Despite this, my parents save their hard-earned money for me to further my education in Canada. After graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, I returned home to build a career only to be met with the economic downturn.
I only earned a meagre income with my first two jobs. At the end of 1986, I signed up. Upon understanding the true values and potential of AMWAY, I decided to make it my career. It was through AMWAY that I was introduced to Irene, my better half.
Irene had always believed a high education was essential to lead a quality lifestyle. She was an account auditor for several years before furthering her ACCA course in Singapore. Upon graduation, she pursued her accounting career.
Lacking a sense of fulfilment, she quit her job to become an accounting lecturer. To support her schoolmate, she signed up for a second time as a full-time AMWAY Business Owner (ABO).
Our limited experience caused our business to slow. We encountered various obstacles along the way. One was having to divide the time between our business and caring for our premature baby.
After eight years of special care and training, our daughter started showing much improvement. That was when we decided to go full swing into the business and work towards our Diamondship.
We readjusted our mindset and attitude. We worked closely with ABOs in our team, complemented each other’s effort and within a year, we have nurtured four new organisations and many Silver Producers and Platinum groups.
There were challenges and setbacks. Instead of becoming angry or disappointed, we remained positive and gave our best. We believe life is about doing what you must do, not what you like to do. That’s the only way to overcome adversity. You have to change before you can change your life.
AMWAY is more than just a career that promises a secured income. It is a valuable business opportunity and asset. The best part, the rewards can be inherited by your next generation.
