We found ourselves at a crossroads in 2016. I was a nurse supervisor at a hospital in Kuantan, while Faizul was a technician supervisor at a local university. We were all too familiar with the constraints of living from paycheque to paycheque.

Our encounter with Amway started with the purchase of a kitchen appliance, which I began showcasing through live cooking demos on social media. This small step unknowingly paved the way for a monumental change in our lives.

Despite the steady growth of our side hustle, those early years were anything but easy. We often skipped lunch to visit the nearest Amway Shop, buying products to deliver to our growing team and customer base. It was a tough balancing act, juggling our fulltime jobs while nurturing our budding business.

Our perseverance paid off in January 2018 when we hit 21% and earned a sizeable bonus, a sum that would have been inconceivable from our regular jobs. That moment was a turning point for us, it solidified our commitment to our Amway business.

By 2019, we achieved the Founders Platinum and Ruby pins, and amid the uncertainties of the pandemic, we took a leap of faith and resigned from our day jobs to pursue Amway fulltime. This decision marked the beginning of an exhilarating ascent to higher pins — achieving Founders Diamond, Executive Diamond, and ultimately Founders Executive Diamond by 2023.

Rank aside, Amway has transformed our lives in tangible ways. We financed our second home when we achieved Platinum, and later upgraded our family’s lifestyle and purchased our dream cars. What was once unattainable have now become our reality.

As the eldest of 12 siblings, and Faizul being the sixth of eight, our journey has also inspired our siblings, many of whom have embarked on their own successful Amway careers.

To those who are just starting out on their Amway journey, my advice is straightforward: focus on building a loyal customer base and use every tool at your disposal, both online and offline. The digital era offers unprecedented opportunities to expand your network and accelerate your business growth. Always provide the best service, foster cooperation, and instil the values of friendship or “ukhwah” with each other.

Moving forward, Faizul and I will continue to strive to be exemplary leaders and role models within our Amway community. We are committed in guiding and supporting others towards achieving their own success, and together, we are aiming for the Founders Crown Ambassador pin. Our journey is a testament to the power of determination and the endless possibilities that Amway offers.
