Prior to signing up as an AMWAY™ Business Owner (ABO), I was a conventional businessman who had operated my own business since young.
My wife was my business partner and capable assistant. We had never wanted to work for anyone and having this in common enabled us to focus on working together and creating our future.
In the 15 years of running our business, we had come across various challenges, faced multiple competitors and endured changing trends in the trade. We even switched business lines in between in hopes that it would help us realise our dreams faster.
Kim Hong became an ABO in 1993 and at the same time, a full-time homemaker to take care of our children. I was a civil engineering contractor then. We were able to appreciate the prospect of the AMWAY Sales & Marketing Plan and the security it offers.
The direct selling trend, being vastly different from our conventional business, also appealed to us. Hence, we made a commitment to develop our AMWAY business.
We qualified Platinum in 1994 and as Ruby in October the same year. In end 1995, I made a bold decision to give up my civil contracting business, which I had been managing painstakingly for many years.
We clinched the Pearl and Emerald pins in 1997 and 2001 respectively. In 2008, we qualified as Diamonds. We have gained freedom, financial independence and security all thanks to AMWAY.
It is our belief that anybody can build a successful AMWAY business as long as they have the following prerequisites:
1. The readiness to embrace a wonderful opportunity.
2. The courage to dream big and set goals.
3. The willingness to accept changes and listen to advice.
4. Unwavering resolution fuelled by strong faith and desire.
5. The persistence to never give up.
Anybody can easily work hard for 30 or 40 years of their lives, but that doesn’t guarantee success in everyone’s lives.
