GANASON & PANJA
Kedah
It was humble beginnings for both of us. Our parents earned just enough to live from hand to mouth. My parents’ house would be flooded while Panja’s family home would rain inside when it was raining outside.
Our only choice to change our lifestyle was to study hard and hope to get a well-paid job. I graduated as a pharmacist and started working. Soon, my life became a 9-to-5 routine.
Even though I could progress from an executive to a senior manager in my career, I was still leading the life of a salaried employee. There would always be more bills to settle than income.
Starting our AMWAY™ business was the turning point in our lives. We opposed it initially but our sponsors persisted.
We were about to get married when we started our business. A young couple with limited financial means, we did not go on our honeymoon. Our first outing after our wedding was to attend an AMWAY meeting.
Attending for the first time, it was an eye-opener for Panja. We made a firm decision after that – no more excuses and no turning back. We persisted even in the face of tremendous challenges. There is no failure in AMWAY, only challenges that we use as lessons and stepping stones to improve ourselves.
We were independent from the get-go. We knew it was “our” business and took the initiative. Along the way, we came across many leaders who helped us learn and grow. It hasn’t been an easy ride to the top. It took us 10 years to move from Platinum to Emerald, but just one year to reach the Diamond level.
We made a conscious effort to eliminate negative habits and thoughts while building positive ones, and worked on improving our self-image. We learnt to respect ourselves and others, and to take responsibility for our actions. Making these changes helped our business to grow.
Success is not one thing but a whole package, and that is exactly what you can achieve with AMWAY.
