ANG KEE LEONG & SOO CHOW KUE
Sabah
“We signed up 13 years ago. AMWAY™ has enriched our lives and we have seen that AMWAY treats people honestly, with respect, and accords recognition whenever it is due.”
Kee Leong & Chow Kue had changed their jobs several times in hopes of improving their lives. In 1972, they moved to Sabah. It was here that Chow Kue’s cousin, Dove Grace LLF, invited her to an AMWAY meeting in Kota Kinabalu to hear Founders Crown Ambassador Foo Howe Kean speak.
And she saw the magnificent opportunity in AMWAY.
Kee Leong, on the other hand, had switched from his teaching job to become a life insurance agent. Though he was earning more, there was no security. He was constantly worried about what would happen to the family should he be unable to work.
Chow Kue found it tough being an AMWAY Business Owner (ABO) at first. She did not understand English and was overwhelmed by the challenges but her uplines Crown Ambassadors Chan Koon Tin & Chai Foong were a constant encouragement.
Chow Kue’s persistence and enthusiasm soon influenced her husband. Kee Leong had thought that the business was unsuitable for him because he was not eloquent and had never been a salesman before. But he was attracted by the potential and security of the AMWAY business.
With determination and a concerted effort, they began to taste success. “Where there is a will, there is a way. Simple hard work and determination was our recipe for success. Don’t ever give up.”
In October 1982, Kee Leong & Chow Kue became Platinums, then Pearls in May 1983, and Emerald Direct Distributors 2 months later.
After 10 years as Emeralds, they decided to aim higher and in August 1984, they qualified as Diamonds.
Let’s continue working for a better tomorrow.
