When I heard about the AMWAY™ business at the end of 1980, I recognised that it was a huge business with unlimited possibilities – and best of all, it needed only a small start-up capital.

I was very excited and decided that this was the business for me. Even though I had just finished my college education then, the idea of working for someone else did not appeal to me.

It took me about eight months to qualify as a Platinum and another three months to qualify as a Ruby.

At 23 years of age, I was thoroughly enjoying the Ruby income I earned. However, my AMWAY business soon stagnated.

In 1984, I heard that Co-founder Rich DeVos would be coming to Malaysia. This made me set my goal to achieve Pearl level and three months later, I succeeded.

It was a momentous occasion for me to receive my Pearl pin from Rich DeVos!

When AMWAY began operations in Thailand, I expanded my network to Bangkok. When I qualified as an Emerald, I settled down and started a family.

With Elsie’s help, we expanded our business into China. We have learnt a lot through the years, and we would like to share with you some of our experiences:

• Always have a new goal or dream to spur you on to greater heights of achievement.
• Publicise your goals so that you’ll be committed to attain it.
