They used to believe that hard work alone could bring success. They worked hard in school and at their jobs, but even with good grades, promotions and increments, they were nowhere near financially stable.
When they first signed up, Kim Hoe & Jit Wah thought that it’d be another part-time business. It turned out to be a move that would change their lives. For once, they could see their hard work paying off. When they qualified as Emerald, Kim Hoe retired from teaching and focused on AMWAY™ full-time. Three years later, the qualified as Diamond.
“As an ABO, you work at your own pace and you determine how you want your business to grow. Once our business was on firm footing, we were able to work at a more relaxed pace. We enjoy doing the business and are experiencing a life of freedom and financial security,” says the couple.
Many questioned if the business was viable during the 1997 economic slowdown. Kim Hoe & Jit Wah had no doubt. “We focused on our goals and worked hard. In 1998, we qualified Executive Diamond.”
The business has taught them two important things: Firstly, a change in attitude is vital for success. Crises spell opportunities. “When our business stagnate, it’s time to re-evaluate the way we work. We need to change our mindset and attitude and be prepared to do things differently. When this happens, we experience personal growth,” says Kim Hoe.
“Secondly, we must have a genuine concern for others. The greater our concern for others, the greater will be their achievements. Remember, it is better to give than to receive. We are proud to be part of our organisation, where the leaders share the same vision and everyone works together for a better future.”
