All of us can choose the kind of life we want to live.

I used to be a schoolmaster and my wife worked in a jewellery shop. For over 10 years, we worked the nine-to-five routine without any improvement in our lives. Weary with financial responsibilities and the pressures of work, I became depressed, defeated and pessimistic. To make matters worse, we encountered health problems!

At a chance meeting with a friend, we heard about AMWAY™. We were introduced to the AMWAY Sales & Marketing Plan and got to know about its products. At our first AMWAY Business Owner (ABO) meeting, we were impressed by the positive attitude of the people. It seemed that everybody there had hopes, enthusiasm and drive. A complete antithesis of us.

We wanted to be part of them. So, we joined AMWAY in 1979 and have never looked back. In March 1981, we qualified Platinum and Ruby. Two months later in May 1981, we qualified Pearl. It was not until July 1986 that we qualified Emerald. Finally, in August 1994, we qualified Diamond.

When we first committed ourselves full-time to our AMWAY business in March 1984, there were challenges. We were shunned and ridiculed. Apparently, it was strange for a school head to be selling cleaners and soap powder.

Every cloud has a silver lining. Look for that silver lining. Visualise what you can attain in the future and work hard in the present, towards that goal. We held firm to our hopes, and strived on to achieve our goals.

Your AMWAY business holds tremendous potential. Regardless of educational background and experience, every ABO has an equal chance to succeed. AMWAY has brought us happiness and security. We have a secure future for our children, made many true friends and have gone on many free overseas trips. But what we treasure most is the freedom our AMWAY business brings.
