To me, the best part of the AMWAY™ career is in the business itself: it is risk-free and has a low start-up capital. Besides, we get the chance to work, share and learn with a group of like-minded people who are positive, friendly and ambitious.
My best friend, Lee Sai Kow, invited me to attend the AMWAY OPP on 6 April 1980 and I’ve been an AMWAY Business Owner (ABO) ever since.
When I was first introduced to AMWAY, everyone said I could do it. Through AMWAY, I learnt to be positive, acquired public speaking skills and discovered ways to nurture my dreams.
Before signing up, I was pretty much a negative and shy person. Now everything has changed.
When I decided to start my AMWAY business, I really put all my heart and soul into it. I attended every single meeting, brush up on product knowledge and sampled the products myself. I also learned to conduct my own OPP sessions and home meetings.
When AMWAY started its operations in Singapore, we made a serious decision to develop our business across the Causeway.
Our children were about to go to college, which meant a heavier burden for us, so we had to set our next goal – to become Diamonds. We also promised our uplines Crown Ambassadors Chan Koon Tin & Chai Foong that we would not join the South African ALS unless we qualified as Diamonds in 2003.
After 23 years in the business, our AMWAY business has grown from a small organisation to a huge network. I have everything an ordinary man could ever dream of: a wife, children, house, car and money.
Being a successful couple, we enjoy a better income and get the chance to enjoy annual overseas trips, fully sponsored by AMWAY.
And thanks to AMWAY, we are able to lead a free-and-easy lifestyle, spend more time with our children and family.
