We used to tap rubber in the mornings and in the afternoons we would help out at a restaurant. On top of that, we also worked part-time in a tourism company.
Initially, we weren’t interested in signing up with AMWAY. We were afraid we didn’t have the time and the qualifications to succeed.
Another setback was that we didn’t understand English and all the AMWAY™ materials then were in English. However, our sponsors kept encouraging us to give ourselves a chance.
One rainy afternoon, we went for a meeting and were attracted by the income we could earn and the opportunity to go on free trips abroad. Our second meeting was a product demonstration, which convinced us of the quality of AMWAY products.
Seeing that there was nothing to lose, we signed up in October 1980.
Initially, we faced many challenges. AMWAY products weren’t cheap and product collection wasn’t as easy as it is now. Despite all this, we pressed on, believing strongly that the AMWAY business would change our future.
Today, we have a comfortable house, a car and financial independence. What delights us most is that we have been invited every year to fully-sponsored travel seminars abroad.
Our experience in AMWAY is like a dream come true. The business not only benefits us, but others as well. We help others to help themselves and at the same time, we experience personal growth.
