Get Lee became an AMWAY™ Business Owner in 1976. I (Kim Sia) was then a rice wholesaler.
Being a traditional businessman, I was not interested in this business at first. However, after attending several meetings conducted by AMWAY, I finally saw the potential in the AMWAY Sales & Marketing Plan.
Such potential could never be found in my previous business. Also, I was attracted by the freedom it offered.
In my business I could not take time off any time I liked, but in AMWAY I could. I could work at my own pace and still achieve my goals.
In the early days of AMWAY, we encountered challenges. But we persisted, and within 3 years achieved Emerald. However, we were stuck at this level because we became too comfortable.
Our biggest mistake was not setting goals for ourselves. Time just slipped us by.
Soon, our children were grown up and in institutions of higher learning. So we had to strive harder to pay for their education. They became our driving force and for them, we worked hard and succeeded.
Together, we worked and set goals with our downline. We went back to the basics. We experienced all kinds of challenges during our journey towards greater achievements.
We changed obstacles into opportunities; stumbling blocks into rungs on the ladder of success; difficulties into plans. And, made it as Diamonds!
Qualifying Diamond is not our ultimate target.
We will take hold of every opportunity and continue to work harder and strive to attain much higher achievements.
