FAITH ONG & TAY SWEE SUN
Singapore
We were your run-of-the-mill working-class couple. Our aim was to better our life and we chose the conventional route. I met Swee Sun in 2002 when we worked at the same international bank. At that point, Swee Sun’s banking career was taking off, therefore he didn’t have much interest in AMWAY. It was me who decided to go for our very first AMWAY meeting.
We started to compare the lifestyle of successful AMWAY leaders versus corporate leaders. The difference was stark, and it illustrated the clear advantages of the AMWAY business. In AMWAY, the more successful you get, the more freedom you achieve. In the corporate world, the more senior you become, the more stressful it gets. And success often comes at the expense of your health and family.
AMWAY leaders look young and are full of passion and energy. It’s a business that involves the whole family and leads to stronger bonds. It also offers income security that is unattainable in the banking industry. These reasons and seeing instances of our colleagues laid off due to recession spurred us to commit to the business.
Setting the goal was easy, getting the business back into motion took hard work and perseverance. Challenges we encountered taught us that success wasn’t so much about achieving great things but ensuring that the little things got done day in and day out. Our accomplishment today proves that you can build this business even on a part-time basis because if you are determined, nothing can stop you.
