M K used to be a teacher and while his work was gratifying he did not achieve his personal and family goals. He wasn’t financially able and led an ordinary life. He tried out small businesses but these only depleted his life savings. It was at this time that Founders Executive Diamond Tan Siew Lan, a good friend of his and his wife, Swee Chan, visited them and shared the business opportunity.

He was skeptical when he heard that it was about direct selling. However, Swee Chan was interested and signed up. Three months later, when he started to understand the value and potential, he decided to work together with Swee Chan. They saw results within a short time and qualified as Diamond less than four years later. It significantly improved their finances.

A visit to Ada increased their confidence and they became full-time ABOs. “Our business grew tremendously in Malaysia. We then ventured internationally to Thailand, Indonesia, the U.S., Hong Kong, China and other markets. We have enjoyed great rewards and can personally vouch that AMWAY is indeed an international business,” says M K.

While the business brought them great rewards, the most wonderful thing happened when their daughter, Mun Yee, met and married Rik Foong, son of Diamond Liew Bon Yen & Siw Kiang. Mun Yee & Rik Foong are now successful ABOs in their own right. Even M K and Swee Chan’s younger daughter, Juin Yee, is active in AMWAY despite holding a medical degree.
