It never crossed my mind that I would be involved in any business let alone the AMWAY business. In 2010, I felt that my health was deteriorating. I did some research and found out about NUTRILITETM supplements. I was interested in the products but did not know how to get hold of it.

At the same time, I was also seeking for an opportunity that would allow me to retire early from my job as a senior manager at an IT research and development company. However, when my friend showed me the AMWAY business opportunity, I wasn’t interested in it at all and did not think that I could be successful in direct selling, a world that was so foreign to me. Although, I was not interested in the business, I did sign up because I wanted to buy NUTRILITE supplements.

The turning point was when my upline and sponsor invited me to attend an AMWAY meeting. Although I was somewhat reluctant at first, I decided to attend. The event turned out to be an eye-opener and I began to see the potential of the AMWAY business. I was excited for the opportunity to travel in style with five-star treatment, as well as the ample financial reward, especially the passive income that can be passed down to the next generation.

Initially, my husband did not support my decision to go into the business. His background as a manager in the largest oil company in Malaysia and his exposure to conventional business made him distrust the AMWAY business. But his negative perception of the business soon changed after he attended the Entrepreneurship Convention in 2011. Armed with our confidence in AMWAY’s products, and its solid and proven marketing plan, we decided to run the AMWAY business whole-heartedly.

Challenges and obstacles are part of life, the same goes for this business. Each challenge that came did not weaken our spirit, but only made us stronger. We set goals, continued to gain knowledge and acted fast with the guidance of our mentor. We reached Platinum and Founders Platinum in 2012, and Sapphire and Emerald in 2014. In July 2015, we achieved Diamond and fulfilled my goal to retire early. AMWAY gave me the freedom of time that I had always wanted.

Besides the financial reward, we also had the opportunity to travel exclusively with AMWAY to Sydney, Hokkaido, Auckland and Las Vegas. All the reward that we have enjoyed so far have been beyond our expectations. However, the most meaningful reward is when we are able to provide the same opportunity to others and help them be successful in their own businesses. This is the real satisfaction in running an AMWAY business.
