I was born in Kuala Terengganu, which is famous for culinary delights like nasi minyak, nasi dagang and many more. In this small town where nothing much happens, my dreams would have remain just that – dreams. But that changed when I came across a life-changing book when I was 17.

The book taught me how one can achieve financial freedom in five years instead of 30 or 40 years. My curiosity was piqued; is there really a business that can provide me with financial freedom in such a short time?

I was introduced to AMWAY when I was 17 years old, signed up when I was 18, but only started building the business a year later. I realised that every great achievement in life requires sacrifice. I chose to quit all my time-wasting and unproductive habits, like playing computer games, to fully focus on AMWAY.

Many people like to make their own judgement about AMWAY without making an effort to find out the truth. They develop a negative perception by listening to the opinion of others, but that’s just not for me.

I needed to find the answers for myself, therefore, I decided to attend AMWAY seminars. At my first seminar, I met many skilled professionals like doctors, lawyers and businessmen who were building their AMWAY business.

This made me wonder, “If AMWAY is about selling detergent or toothpaste, why and how did AMWAY attract them?” There must be something about this business which I didn’t know about! A smart man will doubt, but the wise will seek confirmation. From that day on, my interest in the AMWAY business grew.

I faced many unexpected challenges and failures, but I treated them as learning opportunities that helped me grow. My first goal was to retire from the 9-to-5 working life. I don’t like the idea of working for somebody and be controlled by them. I wanted to have control of my own life.

I did just that by achieving Platinum when I was 20, in my third year of college. I believe in the power of consistency, so I pressed forward and achieved Ruby at 21, Founders Platinum at 22, Sapphire at 23, Emerald at 24, and Founders Emerald and Diamond at 25.

AMWAY is truly a business that can offer us financial and time freedom. These are the most basic needs for us to pursue our dreams. So why shouldn’t we work hard on the right path for several years so we can enjoy the rest of our life?

Throughout my 7-year journey in the AMWAY business, I have gained so much, both in terms of the tangible and intangible, like self development, long lasting friendship, closer family relationship, houses, cars, travelling in style, etc.

The smallest step in the right direction can end up being the biggest step of your life. I feel blessed to have chosen AMWAY as my lifelong career.
