SUPRINA TAY
Selangor
Suprina Tay is grateful for having loving and responsible parents who are always trying their best to provide for the family. From being employees, they made the transition to venture into business of their own. They dedicated most of their waking hours to grow the business as they were determined to ensure that the family enjoyed a better quality of life.
Inspired by their drive and passion ever since she was a young girl, Suprina came to realise the advantages that “business ownership” offer. However, it also made her wonder if a person can enjoy both time and financial freedom in life?
Hence, at the age of 16, she took up numerous part time jobs to explore various opportunities in life. She also participated in several beauty contests and clinched titles such as Miss Photogenic Seremban and Miss Klang second runner up, besides garnering modelling experience in commercials and MTVs.
After she entered college, she saw that many of her seniors who graduated were not happy with their life even after several years of employment. Some continue to work in jobs that they did not like merely to pay the bills. This led her to ask herself, “Is this all there is to life?”
While searching for answers, she met her upline and became inspired by the lifestyle she and her husband led. Even though both of them were college students, they were already establishing their own career and living a “cool life”. That’s when Suprina was introduced to Amway.
Eager to follow in their footsteps, she decided to build her Amway business while still in college. Like many others, she faced challenges like not having her own transport and limited network. However, nothing could stop her from staying her course.
She persevered and achieved Founders Platinum in about 15 months. She qualified for Amway Leadership Seminars yearly. She’s proud of the fact that she has never worked for anyone and gets to enjoy complete “ownership” of her time and freedom.
For the next four years, she was contented to build her Amway business at a leisurely pace. After all, she was already enjoying a stable five figure income and had few financial commitments.
That changed in 2013 when she attended a major function where she was greatly inspired by a speech from one of the speakers. The speaker had said, “Life is not about winning, but about how many people we are able to help to become successful. Life is short, so choose to live your life with no regrets!”
Inspired by the speaker, she decided to be seriously focused on her goals. As a result, in 2015, she jumped three pin levels; Founders Sapphire, Emerald and Diamond. And she did it as a single lady in her 20s. She also achieved her dreams one after the other, including buying her dream sports car and her own home in an upmarket neighbourhood.
Her personal motto is to “be the master of your life” and help others achieve success when you have become successful. Despite her success, she believes that it is more important to be a person who embodies a wealth of values versus one who merely has material wealth.
