Before signing up, Edwin was a hairstylist who ran a conventional salon with a dream to become a successful businessman. Convinced that his desired lifestyle can be achieved through AMWAY™, he decided to build the business after attending an AMWAY rally.

On the other hand, Lynette, a scholarship recipient, had just graduated when she first attended an AMWAY rally. The opportunity to travel around the world for the Leadership Seminar ignited her interest towards the business. Harbouring a desire to lead better lives, they set forth to a hopeful future by building the business with a clear vision and purpose, and relentless effort.

This young couple kick-started their AMWAY business with strong momentum. A proactive, optimistic person, Edwin has always been a man of his word as well. After setting his mind on something, he would focus and commit to the task. Words like “impossible” and “no way” had never entered his vocabulary.

Encouraged by the positive energy from Edwin, Lynette had no qualms following him into the business. Lynette herself was not short on admirable qualities; she is a charismatic, mature, a conscientious leader, and a general tough cookie. These characteristics turned out to be factors that contributed to their current achievements.

In August 2011, they broke the record by becoming one of the first Founders Ruby in Malaysia. At that juncture, they were already prepared to make it to the next pin level and indeed they qualified Emerald. They continued to forge ahead in pursuit of higher pin levels and qualified Diamond in just one year!

During the course of building the business, they encountered various challenges but they managed to get through the rough days by encouraging and supporting each other. Helping their team members also gave them ample opportunities for self-development.

To them, AMWAY is a team business with the potential to grow into an international organisation with an enormous network. It is also a business which helps oneself to achieve success while helping others.
