Jojoh and I are qualified accountants by profession who nurtured big dreams for our future. However, our dreams got pushed aside by the hustle and bustle of life. We ended up being ordinary office workers who left home early in the morning and returned late at night, with no clue on how to turn our boring life around.

One day, Jojoh’s younger brother Alan Tan Chueo Sian approached us to sign up as Amway Business Owners (ABO). While attending a meeting by Founders Executive Diamond Robert Yap Kim Choo & Lily Yee Lai Wah, Jojoh saw the potential of Amway, but I was strongly against it even though I barely knew anything about it.

Jojoh eventually changed my mind when I saw her transform into a confident ABO who is passionate about her career. That’s when I began to realise that Amway is not merely a soap selling business, but rather one that nurtures talented people to succeed in their lives. It’s also a business that offers us a chance to achieve the time freedom and financial independence that we’d always dreamt about.

When we started our Amway business, we struggled as we were unfamiliar with the products and Sales & Marketing Plan. Also, we did not like having to approach people, nor did we have the passion to inspire others. To quote Benjamin Franklin, “When you’re finished changing, you’re finished.” That’s why we continued to learn, attended various meetings and transformed ourselves. More importantly, we took action to realise all our goals.

In fact, life is a series of choices. We can either choose to move ahead or give up. Despite our challenges, we continued to have faith in our Amway business. Our effort bore fruit when we achieved Sapphire and Emerald in 2014, and clinched both the Founders Emerald and Diamond pins in 2016. Whether you want to succeed or not, the choice is yours.

Thanks to Amway, we have gone for numerous once-in-a-lifetime experiences, including exotic destinations such as Rome, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Los Angeles, New Zealand, Las Vegas, Tanzania, Barcelona and the Mediterranean Cruise. We were also invited to visit the Amway Headquarters at Ada, Michigan, and the trip further convinced us that we’ve made the right career choice.

In addition, we were invited to attend the 2016 APAC New Diamond Conference in Busan, South Korea. All these experiences have proven that the freedom of time and financial independence are only some of the rewards that Amway can provide. We’re now living an enriched life full of colourful moments.

We believe that everybody can succeed with Amway, regardless of their age, background, education and gender. If you choose to be successful in Amway, you can surely do it.
