YS CHIN & WOON HWA
Kedah
Woon Hwa’s father was a visionary; he sent her and her siblings for piano lessons from young to acquire a skill and use it as a “back-up plan”. It was this back-up plan that pulled the family through when he unexpectedly passed away at the age of 40 when Woon Hwa was only 18.
That’s how we embarked on an AMWAY™ business even though we were both at the peak of our careers, drawing handsome incomes and living comfortably.
We saw that AMWAY is an option for courageous people who dare to challenge the status quo and breakthrough to live life on their best endeavours.
We signed up for the first time in 1991 when Woon Hwa was pregnant. She decided to buy the AMWAY WTS I, as she wanted the best water for our baby.
Woon Hwa signed up and started using the supplements. She loved AMWAY products so much so that she kept looking for people to sign her up when our uplines failed to renew our ABOship.
We started the business by unlearning and relearning, by following the system and doing the business with integrity. It was never easy when we first started, after working so many years with all our time dedicated fully to our “jobs”, we have lost almost all our friends’ contacts.
I decided to build the AMWAY business as a family business. I wanted to put an end to our hectic lifestyle.
On hindsight, we were blessed; AMWAY has given Woon Hwa the option to retire early to care for her ailing mother and our children who were then in their character building years.
Woon Hwa and I worked together as a husband-and-wife team; we supported each other and took things one step at a time and with each step we built our network. To our amazement, we managed to qualify as Platinums in just 10 months.
As time passed, we started to grow and embrace the AMWAY culture of helping people help themselves.
In AMWAY, we are money rich, time rich and friend rich.
