I was a professional football player and was playing for the state of Perak. I even represented Malaysia and was once sent to train with the Arsenal Football Club in England. Chai Ni, on the other hand, was an accounts clerk and worked two additional part time jobs, yet she struggled to make ends meet.

I had a fantastic football career and became a Malaysia Cup champion when I was only 18 years old. I also enjoyed various sponsorships. Life was really good then. However, disaster struck when I injured my knee and had to undergo three surgeries. After that, I started to worry that my football career would start to fade. Not long after, my contract was terminated together with all my sponsorships.

That was the turning point of my life. When I was working as a sales executive at a roadshow in a shopping mall, I met a stranger who introduced AMWAY to me. I was then invited to attend an AMWAY meeting. After seeing the Sales & Marketing Plan, I had hope and believe that this business can change my life. Courage brought me back to my feet. I met Chai Ni while building my AMWAY business, so we decided to set out on this journey together. That’s when I realised that successful people move ahead when others waste the time they have with excuses.

It was difficult in the beginning because I didn’t have the right knowledge to build a successful AMWAY business. I couldn’t really converse well, I didn’t have many friends and I didn’t have any business skills to speak of.

However, I made up my mind to attend all the meetings to equip myself with the skills I needed. I realised that I can’t have a better tomorrow if I am still thinking about yesterday. I started building my AMWAY business at the age of 22, I qualified Platinum at 23, Founders Platinum at 24, Sapphire at 25, and Emerald at 26. Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.

We have been travelling with AMWAY ever since. We have experienced different kinds of culture and food in different countries and the journey continues. Now, we are living a fantastic life. We have been in this business for 14 years and the best part is we can choose what we want to do every day. We are also financially stable and secure.
