I was born into an impoverished family. My father passed away since I was a child. My mother had to raise my five siblings and I on her own. I started working at the age of 16. I worked in a hair salon during the day and moonlighted as a promoter at night.

For over 20 years, I had been juggling at least two jobs at once to earn more money. Prior to joining AMWAY™, my husband ran a family-owned restaurant in Subang New Village, called Choong Foong, for over three decades.

We lived life at a frenzied pace, clocking in more than 12 hours of work a day. I had met quite a few direct selling leaders who happened to be my clients at the salon and signed up with them.

That did not bring me any closer to achieving my dreams. Some of these companies even closed down, leaving me rather disappointed with the direct selling business.

I started out as a user of AMWAY products without any knowledge of developing the business. There were many challenges initially. I was in and out of the hospital, taking care of my ailing mother. Our children were still very young then. Instead of giving up, we took the rough with the smooth and held on to the belief that “nothing is impossible to a willing heart”.

Since joining AMWAY, we have seen enormous changes in our lives. My husband has cut down on alcohol consumption and quit smoking. Now he can afford to spend more quality time with the family.

We have learned a lot through AMWAY, including how to deal with different situations and interpersonal relationship.

Even the longest road will come to an end, so just step forward and never look back. Even the happiest mind will get upset at times, so never take it too seriously.

Remember, no challenges will ever stop a brave man from marching forward. You can make it with an unyielding spirit.
