I am an entrepreneur with a cosmetic factory in Malaysia and two in China, while Emily previously owned a beauty business. Today she is a full-time mother to our wonderful children, Caleb and Phoebe.
Emily was the one who first saw the potential of the AMWAY™ business. She realised that AMWAY could provide us with a second source of income as a security against the risks of our
conventional business. She remembered the tough times we faced during the global economic recession in the late ‘80s. Emily had big dreams and possessed the courage to pursue and achieve them. She encouraged me to go for it.
We started our AMWAY business by learning from our uplines and then sharing it with friends and relatives. We qualified Platinum in the first year and Emerald in the second. We worked hard to build a strong and consistent business, and we were invited to the AMWAY Leadership Seminar each year. It was enjoyable and memorable because we met successful AMWAY Business Owners (ABOs) who kept us motivated.
In 2003, I moved my family to China to focus on my new investment. We did not have the opportunity to oversee our AMWAY business here but it continued to thrive, and we even qualified as Founders Emerald! This is evidence that AMWAY can give us a secure income if we build the business with the right foundation. When we returned in 2009, we resumed our AMWAY business on part-time basis and managed to qualify as Diamond within that fiscal year.
Our key to a successful AMWAY business is choosing to live within these four essential rules:
Thoughts. We choose to think positive because our thinking influences our behaviour.
Dreams. We choose to dream big. Without a dream, there is no goal to pursue or hope to keep us strong.
Faith. As long as we believe, all things are possible. Faith keeps us working until our dreams become reality.
Words. The tongue can be a powerful tool. When used wisely, words can have a positive effect, encouraging or supporting, shaping your behaviour.
