There is a Malay proverb that goes, “If you don’t chop the sago palm, you won’t get the sago,” which means that if you don’t work hard, you won’t be successful.

I actually signed up with AMWAY twice. The first time I did so was because I wanted to buy a fragrance. At that time, I was working in the private sector and my office happened to be near the old AMWAY Headquarters at Jalan 222, Petaling Jaya. Although I was invited to build the business by my sponsor, I wasn’t interested.

The second time around, we were introduced to the business by Norazah’s ex-colleague. At that time, Norazah was looking for a product to strengthen her health after delivering our first child. She was impressed by the NUTRILITE™ and ARTISTRY™ brands. So confident was she in the efficacy of the products, she decided to be active in the business.

Norazah used to work as an executive in a corporate company in Kuala Lumpur, while I worked for a multinational company in Petaling Jaya. After several years, we had to return to Penang to help manage my family business. However, Norazah decided to search for a business opportunity that was more stable. So when our upline told us about the passive income offered by AMWAY, it was like a clarion call to us. There was no time to waste and we decided to seriously build the business.

We are so blessed to have such wonderful opportunities by AMWAY. We got to travel to places like Alaska, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Rome, Paris and several other European countries, Hokkaido and Auckland – all fully sponsored. We also went for the AMWAY Leadership Seminar 2016 Mediterranean Cruise in July.

After we qualified as Diamond, we were invited for the New Diamond Conference in Busan, Korea, in October 2016. In March 2017, we were invited to the Diamond Invitational in Serengiti, Tanzania. In July 2017, we were flown to Barcelona to attend the Local Working Diamond Forum.

Along the journey to success, we have gained valuable experiences that money can’t buy. We have found true friendship among our sponsors, AMWAY Business Owners (ABOs)and amazing leaders from all races in Malaysia and Asia. They have truly enriched our lives.

We are living the life that we have always wanted. Materially, we can afford to have several cars and a dream house. But above all that, we have attained personal growth. We have become better leaders and, most importantly, better people.

Last but not least, focus on the rewards that await you instead of the obstacles that you are going through. It doesn’t matter when you join the business, it is the day that you decide to take the business seriously that is most important.
