Due to my playful nature, I left school to work without completing my Form 5. As for my wife, she studied until Standard 6, as her father didn’t think it important for a girl to have a high education.

After switching from one job to another, I became a car salesman and held the position of top salesman in Malaysia for 11 years.

My wife managed to save some money for a hairstyling course and had been a hairstylist for 20 years. My journey into AMWAY began when by chance my up-uplines came to my showroom to buy a car.

For four years, I did not do anything although my sponsor followed up with me tirelessly. I continued rejecting and giving excuses until the recession in 1997. I lost everything; I became a negative person with no self-confidence. Seeing me this way, my wife started her AMWAY business without my knowledge.

It wasn’t until she had to attend a moving up seminar away from home that she let me know.
Angry and protective of her, I insisted on going along. One thing led to another; very soon I was attending meetings regularly.
