Since we qualified as Founders Emeralds in 2009, we made the decision to aim higher and qualify as Diamonds within a year. We changed our mindset and worked hard to realise our vision. With the cooperation from our team members and business associates, we successfully overcame all challenges and qualified as Diamonds in 2010!

I always thought a good education and professional qualification were the ticket to a comfortable life. After completing secondary school, I finished my ACCA course on a part-time basis and became a MIA-recognised Chartered Accountant.

My wife, Kara, was a Cost Accountant. We worked hard, aimed for higher positions and better incomes, and lived a stable life.

I first heard about AMWAY™ from my father-in-law. I signed up, but was convinced that introverts like my wife and I weren’t built for this business. Despite this, we appreciated the quality of AMWAY dietary supplements and other products.

Fortunately, our sponsor was patient and persistent. We relented and attended several meetings. We finally understood AMWAY’s potential and its unique difference. We saw that people in this business were happier and that through it, we could achieve our dreams of having security, financial independence, and a carefree lifestyle.

To me, the passive income aspect was most appealing. That was why we started our own AMWAY business.

We began on a part-time basis. We encountered countless rejection and challenges. We persisted, dedicating more hours into the business and making an effort to “de-programme” our accountant characteristics and mentalities.

In 2005, on the verge of a promotion, I decided to quit my job and concentrate fully on AMWAY. It was not an easy decision; Kara and I were expecting a baby. Imagine the sense of achievement we felt when, within one year, our hard work and concentration paid off.

Today, we are in better control of our time. We cherish having this uncommon freedom and living in accordance to the AMWAY philosophy, which emphasises on striking a good balance between work and family.
