Eric was an automobile mechanic at an aftersales service centre of a luxury car brand. He met Founders Crown Ambassador Charlie Lee Kim Soon, when the latter brought his car in for service. Eric initially planned to open his own car workshop after his contract with his employer ends.

However, after being introduced to AMWAY, he decided to focus on building his AMWAY business instead. He realised that if he builds a successful AMWAY career, he can enjoy a worry-free lifestyle without having to work for someone else and also the opportunity to travel around the world.

I, on the other hand, was helping my father run his conventional business after completing The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) course. I have always dreamed of leaving the rat race and going on all-expenses-paid trips.

Determined to make my dreams come true, I attended AMWAY meetings after work and started my part-time AMWAY career. I became a fulltime AMWAY Business Owner (ABO) after six years with the hope that I will get to realise all my dreams one day. And true enough, now all my dreams have come true!

During the course of building our business, our upline Founders Crown Ambassador Charlie Lee Kim Soon & Linda Ng Kwee Choo had instilled in us the right mindset – AMWAY is our own business, when our upline offers us a good business opportunity, the rest is all up to us. We’re supposed to take the initiative to learn, attend meetings with other team members, and develop our AMWAY business with the right attitude – never blame anyone, never ask for more than we should, never rely on others and always practice self-reflection.

Eric became a fulltime ABO after achieving 12%. Soon after clinching his Platinum pin, he set up a venue in Klang to coach his downline ABOs. We encountered numerous challenges and setbacks along the way, but we never gave up. After all, success belongs to those who persist till the end.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to FCA70 Holly Chen from Taiwan who constantly advised us to develop a positive outlook on life. During the course of building our business, we’ve been avid readers of her published works. From her we learned that success is vital but being a virtuous person is even more valuable.

She also reminded us to always be grateful to those who have helped us go the extra mile. We shouldn’t take other people’s kindness for granted, instead it’s our obligation to extend kindness to others. She often quoted that, “A man with high morals desires nothing from anybody”, and that’s the way we can avoid feelings of frustration, enjoy a more carefree and happier life while receiving more blessed rewards.

Moving forward, we’ll continue to scale greater heights in our career and set a good example that our team members, family and our next generation can be proud of!
