There’s no “take two” in life, but we can always transform it to live an enjoyable, renewed life.
Born into a family which had fallen upon hard times, I had seen too many instances of the fickleness of human nature. So, at the tender age of 18, I vowed to become an outstanding person one day by building my own successful business.

Since childhood, my father had always trying to instil within me the concept that working for someone else won’t make me rich. Due to my elementary education, I had to make a living by working hard and making enough money to start my own business. I undertook many different jobs, such as driving a taxi, doing odd jobs, running a stamp-selling business, and selling wholesale foodstuff like rice and eggs, among others. Having engaged in a variety of conventional businesses for more than two decades, I became deeply aware of the fact that the rise and fall of economic conditions are part of the business cycle, and more often than not, we’re caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life and eventually lose our way. Back then, I used to work 16 to 20 hours a day. Money was earned at the expense of my health. I barely had time to spend with my family, let alone the freedom to do things I like doing and things I ought to do.

Through inspiration from my cousin cum international sponsor, Founders Diamond Lee Chien Chang, and encouragement from my sponsor Steven Yap & Yoh Yong, I realised that AMWAY is a risk-free business that only requires a small start-up investment, and that our leaders are always there to guide you through the way to success. Therefore, together with my better half, we made up our mind to join AMWAY, a decision that marked the beginning of our “renewed” life.

Initially it wasn’t a smooth journey though. There were objections from our family, and negative reactions from our friends. Some even told me that they didn’t want to join AMWAY because they had no time to do so. Ironically, ‘having no time to waste’ is the biggest motivation that spurred me to develop my AMWAY business.

We decided to strive for success and regain the freedom of time that belongs to us. Facing challenges is part and parcel of the journey to success in the business world. We do not want to regret the past, grouse about the present and be fearful of the future. So we decided to let go of the past, seize the present moment and embrace the future.

We can’t thank AMWAY Co-founders Rich & Jay enough for establishing the business that gave us an equal opportunity to fill our life with confidence and hope. Through AMWAY, I managed to learn how to communicate with people, enhance my self-confidence and continue to live with an optimistic mind. We’ve been invited to join the ALS in different countries for 17 years in a row. It seems that our wish of travelling around the world is no longer a dream. We had also established a solid customer base and a robust marketing network that enable us to earn guaranteed income while having the luxury of time freedom to enjoy life.

Our persistence has also inspired our family to develop their AMWAY business with us. Much to our delight, the continuous development and teamwork among the business associates in our organisation not only led to our mutual growth but has also enabled us to produce a considerable number of Diamonds, Emeralds and Platinum AMWAY Business Owners (ABOs).
