In March 1987 when my sponsor invited me to sign up with AMWAY™, I signed up as an AMWAY Business Owner (ABO) without any hesitation. I hadn’t realised with just a stroke of a pen, my life would be forever changed.

My gratitude goes out to Founders Platinums Chong Sooi Hai & Ming Seyok for introducing me to AMWAY. Without them I would not have signed up as I was not a sociable person and did not enjoy interacting with people.

After a few meetings, I realised my dreams could come true through AMWAY. However, I had second thoughts as I was quiet and thought I was clearly lacking in the skills to conduct a successful AMWAY business.

Nevertheless, I wanted to change to succeed in the business. Eight months later, I left the company, which I had faithfully served for eight years, to become a full-time ABO.

At that time I was already a nine percenter. I faced tremendous pressures and many obstacles, some of which included financial and relationship challenges and family objections. Furthermore, the economy downturn forced many to find work in other countries, which in a way affected the growth of my business.

But all these did not deter me, as the tougher the challenges, the stronger I became. After 27 months, I qualified and nine months later I qualified Ruby. I cleared all my debts and my finances improved.

Today, I enjoy a quality life. I am financially independent and mentally tougher. To me, the day-to-day challenges and obstacles that average people face are no longer problems. Because of AMWAY, I had the opportunity to travel to numerous countries, and this has enriched my life.

To have a successful AMWAY business, one must be positive, determined, and confident and continue to seek personal growth.
