Like all youngsters, Foo harboured dreams of becoming his own boss and enjoying a carefree lifestyle. Unlike most youngsters, however, Foo had the gumption to keep an open mind and the belief that he could make it. That was why Foo refused to settle for a 9-to-5 job. On the contrary, he became more determined to succeed in AMWAY™.

With guidance from his upline and finding inspiration from the sharing of Rich & Jay, Foo made great strides. In 27 months, he qualified Diamond. His business grew even more when he spread his wings into eight other markets. Today, he’s not only a Founders Crown Ambassador in Malaysia, he even achieved the rare distinction of qualifying 60 FAA points.
He accomplished these distinctions by holding on to his faith in the business and to the five core principles of success, namely respect, integrity, independence, cooperation and overcoming challenges.

A key aspect that Foo constantly reiterates to his downlines and business partners is that AMWAY is a “people helping people” business. Therefore, having the awareness to be mutually respectful is fundamentally important. “You may at one point or another feel dejected when you encountered setback in prospecting. Once you realise the importance of ‘agreeing to disagree’ and once you start to respect the other person’s feelings, you’ll find new motivation to intensify your effort and to continue to share the wonderful things about AMWAY.”

Foo also observes that, “God only helps those who help themselves, therefore the key ultimately is to rely on your own self. Only a self-reliant, independent person is able to extend a helping hand to others and influence them positively.” To be able to function independently does not mean cutting oneself off from others. Foo believes that success is gained by making a collective effort and getting guidance from leaders.

Foo’s success enables him to live a life of uncommon freedom where he can “choose to work only when he wishes to.” Despite his achievements and the rewards he has obtained, Foo remains much the same ordinary person outside the AMWAY world. To have both feet firmly planted on the ground despite his stratospheric success is in itself a cause for admiration and speaks volumes of Foo’s character.

His Founders Crown Ambassador and FAA 60 achievements are outstanding accomplishments and major milestones, but Foo is already looking ahead and asking, “What’s next?” His refusal to be complacent is matched only by his conviction that the future can be better and it is waiting just ahead. That’s why, even after 35 years, Foo is still enthusiastic and passionate about sharing the business opportunity. He is determined to share the future with more like-minded people and to be the personification of the AMWAY values on the global stage.
