KITMOND LEONG & EUNICE TAN
Melaka
I used to own a restaurant that served Chinese cuisine. My wife Eunice was a temporary teacher. My climb to success was long and arduous for I was not born with a silver spoon.
When I was only 9 years old, my father died in an accident. My mother was left to care for the three of us. We were very poor. I can still remember the condition that we had to live in.
The hardship that my mother had to go through motivated me to change. I would always tell myself that I wanted to succeed in life. I wanted my mother to enjoy a comfortable life and make her proud of me. So I worked very hard, becoming a jack-of-all-trades along the way.
It was my wife who first signed up with AMWAY™. Then I noticed changes in her. She was not usually a sociable person, but her AMWAY business made her more outgoing and positive.
She learned to set and achieve personal goals. She believed that if others could do it, so could she. Whenever she faced challenges, she would always tell herself: “Don’t let others steal your dream.”
A few years after I opened the restaurant, my mother passed away. I was really upset. But this sad event led to a new episode in my life because it was then that I finally understood the value and the prospect of the AMWAY business.
“In life, we are happy because there is growth.” So, I made a crucial decision. I decided to close down my restaurant, buy a motorcycle and went around in the mornings to sell ‘Dang Gui’ barbecued ducks and chickens.
In the afternoons, I would focus on developing my AMWAY business. Some people thought it was not a wise move, but I knew I had to do it. Three months later, I became a full-time AMWAY Business Owner.
Today, because of AMWAY we are able to live a healthy and happy life with our families, enjoy free trips every year, freedom, financial security and experience true friendships.
